Job Purpose 

RoleMapper's Product Manager is building the DNA for Work: the data infrastructure powering fair, transparent, and AI-driven workforce decisions. You'll be the voice of the customer, transforming direct conversations, usage data, and market insights into actionable product strategy through structured engagement with customers. 

You will be responsible for shaping and executing the product vision and roadmap while playing a hands-on role driving execution turning customer, market, and usage insights into actionable decisions and shipped product. You will balance strategy & planning with hands-on execution and delivery - prioritising ruthlessly, managing trade-offs, and delivering MVPs at pace.  

Partnering closely with Customer Success, GTM & Engineering and AI/ML teams, you will launch and iterate products that deliver customer value and commercial impact. Establishing fit-for-purpose processes, KPIs, and feedback loops enabling effective execution as we scale. 

Combining strategy with hands-on execution, you'll build the team, systems, and innovation engine that drive our next phase of growth and position RoleMapper at the forefront of AI in work design. 

Responsibilities 

As Head of Product, you will be responsible for: 

  • Define and execute product strategy grounded in customer insights and commercial goals  
  • Set up and manage process to gather insights from customers, internal teams and external market and translate into actionable product decisions 
  • Navigate competing stakeholder needs to build consensus, prioritise and drive product decisions 
  • Drive product execution with an MVP mindset, ensuring product initiatives ship on time and within scope 
  • Establish and track product KPIs to optimize product usage and customer value and proactively adjust priorities to improve outcomes 
  • Establish product management processes that balance speed of execution with structure and process fit-for-purpose for a company at our stage 
  • Work with Customer Success and GTM team teams to provide clear customer-focused messaging, positioning, and product understanding 

To be successful in this role, you will have: 

  • Experience in product management within B2B SaaS enterprise, from roadmap creation to end-to-end delivery in a fast-paced environment 
  • Experience thriving in a start-up/scale-up environment, with an insane ability to cut through noise, turn chaos into calm and prioritise what matters the most 
  • Technical fluency (understand technical concepts, architectures, integrations, APIs) with strong analytical and problem-solving skill 
  • Experience building product foundations, establishing scalable processes, tools, and ways of working suited to an evolving organisation 

You will also have:  

  • Great project management skills with a high attention to detail, can obsessively prioritise and keep projects and all those involved on track  
  • A natural ability to manage and influence stakeholders at all levels from CEO, Customer Success, Sales to Engineering teams 
  • A strong commercial mindset, with an obsession for delivering value to retain customers and driving revenue growth 
  • A proactive, hands-on mindset — comfortable working at pace and in a fast-changing environment. 
  • Motivation to be part of a scaling start-up where things evolve quickly and you can have a real impact.

Salary & Benefits  

Salary range: £80k-£95k plus share options.  

In addition to 25 days of holiday we have a paid shutdown period between Christmas and New Year which equates to an additional 3 to 5 days, depending on where the holidays land.

Location 

While our ‘official’ registered office is in Exeter, we all work remotely across different locations but meet regularly in London, Exeter & Bristol. You would need to live/work somewhere accessible to one or more of these locations.  If you prefer working in an office, we offer flexible memberships to regional workspaces.  

Recruitment process  

As part of our recruitment process, we feel that it’s important for you to get to know us, understand the reality of what it’s like here at RoleMapper and get a true flavour of the role you are applying for. With this in mind, our recruitment process contains the following steps: 

  1. Initial recruiter call to provide an overview of the company, the role and get an understanding of your background and fit for the role   
  1. CPO & VP Customer Success Interview - providing more details on the company, our strategy, the role and a deep dive into you and your alignment to the specific requirements for the role   
  1. Meet the CEO & Founder 
  1. Meet the team – a chance to meet the people you will be working with and get to know us better  
  1. Work-based assessment - during the session, you’ll be asked to present your work on several specific tasks.  Psychometric assessment (Wave) ahead of the work-based session  

While there are quite a few steps, we try to do these as quickly as we can. We ideally aim for all of this to happen across a 2-3 week period.
