Job Purpose 

The Senior Job Evaluation Solutions Consultant leads the design and modernisation of job evaluation and levelling frameworks, translating methodology into scalable product solutions. The role partners with product teams and customers to deliver customised levelling & evaluation systems aligned to compensation strategy. Acting as a trusted advisor to HR and Reward leaders, the consultant supports framework transformation while driving continuous product evolution through customer insight and market-leading practice. 

Responsibilities 

As Senior Job Evaluation Solutions Consultant you will be responsible for: 

  • Lead the design and development of job evaluation systems and levelling frameworks  
  • Partner with product teams to translate the job evaluation and framework methodology into scalable product solutions   
  • Collaborate with customers to help translate requirements into customised evaluation and levelling system  
  • Provide advisory support to HR and Reward leaders on framework modernisation and alignment to compensation strategy  
  • Support the evolution our job evaluation and levelling product based on customer feedback and market leading practices   

To be successful in this role, you will have: 

  • Deep hands-on experience building or implementing job evaluation systems, levelling and global grading frameworks (e.g. HAY, WTW, Mercer, Aon Radford)   
  • Experience of internal equity data modelling & statistical validation approaches  
  • A superb problem solver, applying a structured analytical approach under ambiguity  
  • Comfortable advising and influencing senior leaders around design and implementation approach  
  • Good understanding of the changing landscape around global pay equity and transparency legislation  
  • Can demonstrate a product mindset with a passion for technology and AI to solve complex compensation challenges

Salary & Benefits  

Salary range: £75 - £110k (Permanent) £500 - £950 (Day Rate Contractor) – dependant on experience 

In addition to 25 days of annual leave, we offer a paid shutdown between Christmas and New Year, which usually equates to an additional 3 to 5 days depending on how the dates fall. Everyone also gets their birthday off each year to celebrate properly. 

Our working week also has a little perk built in, as we finish at 3pm every Friday.

Contract Type: Permanent or contractor considered. We are focused on securing a highly experienced practitioner who can operate at senior level and deliver immediate impact. 

Location 

While our ‘official’ registered office is in Exeter, we all work remotely across different locations but meet regularly in London, Exeter & Bristol. You would need to live/work somewhere accessible to one or more of these locations.  If you prefer working in an office, we offer flexible memberships to regional workspaces.  

Recruitment process  

As part of our recruitment process, we feel that it’s important for you to get to know us, understand the reality of what it’s like here at RoleMapper and get a true flavour of the role you are applying for. With this in mind, our recruitment process contains the following steps:  

1. Initial Recruiter Conversation to provide an overview of the company, the role and get an understanding of your background and fit for the role.

2. Call with Hiring Manager - providing more details on the company, our strategy, the role and a deep dive into you and your alignment to the specific requirements for the role.

3. Work-Based Assessment & Psychometric Assessment - you will complete a Wave psychometric assessment ahead of the work-based session. During the work-based session, you’ll be asked to present and discuss your approach to several relevant tasks, allowing us to understand how you think, solve problems, and apply your expertise in practice.

4. Final Conversation – CEO & Founder to discuss any remaining questions and explore your motivations and fit with our vision and culture. a final conversation to cover any remaining questions.

While there are quite a few steps, we try to do these as quickly as we can. We ideally aim for all of this to happen across a 2-3 week period.
