In 5 years, we have built a portfolio of global big brand customers across the UK and US, have recently received significant VC funding, and are now embarking on the next chapter of our growth journey.

If you love working in an inclusive, collaborative, team-first culture and are passionate about helping customers solve some of the biggest workforce challenges, then RoleMapper is the place to be!

Job Purpose

As a Product Designer, you will help shape how our product evolves at RoleMapper, which is building the DNA for Work: the data infrastructure powering fair, transparent, and AI-driven workforce decisions. You will work closely with Product, Engineering, and customers to understand real user problems and turn them into effective, usable solutions. You will contribute across discovery and delivery, helping explore ideas, test concepts, and design experiences that solve meaningful problems for our customers.

You will translate customer needs, product direction, and technical constraints into clear concepts and intuitive, scalable product experiences. This includes contributing to understanding what should be built and why, and ensuring solutions are realised through thoughtful UX and high-quality UI.

Working closely with the Senior Product Manager, Product Owner, engineering, and customer-facing teams, you will play an active role in improving and modernising the platform, continuously learning from feedback and helping evolve the product to better meet customer needs in a fast-moving startup environment.

Responsibilities

As Product Designer, you will be responsible for:

  • Design intuitive, scalable, and visually consistent experiences across new and existing product areas.
  • Support discovery and shaping of new product areas through concepts and prototypes.
  • Establish and maintain a scalable design system across the platform.
  • Collaborate on discovery activities to ensure product decisions reflect real user needs through continuous discovery methods
  • Collaborate closely with Product and Engineering to shape, design, and ship high-quality user experiences that balance customer value, technical feasibility, and speed of delivery.
  • Continuously improve usability, clarity, and consistency across the platform by evolving design standards, components, and core user workflows.

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Experience designing B2B SaaS or enterprise software
  • Proven end-to-end UX and UI design capability
  • Hands-on use of AI-assisted design and prototyping tools
  • Ability to collaborate and communicate across a variety of stakeholders
  • A commercial mindset, with a clear focus on delivering customer value and best in class experiences
  • Experience working in a startup or scale-up environment
  • A user-centred design mindset
  • Experience contributing to or working with a design system

You will also have:

  • Strong prioritisation and delivery discipline
  • A high level of ownership and accountability for design quality
  • Confidence working in fast-moving environments with evolving priorities and incomplete information

Start-up life is not for everyone! To really thrive with us you will be 'Start-up ready'. You are naturally proactive, open to change, have a continuous improvement mindset, are flexible, happy to go beyond your brief, enjoy working at pace and are comfortable with ambiguity.

And finally, you will really resonate with our values:

Customer Focus: we are obsessive about delivering value and reducing complexity for customers
